'Hours of work' example calculation

For periods after 1 January 2020

31 calendar days - 8 (4 Saturdays and 4 Sundays) = 23 working days.

On this basis, the following should be declared for December: 23 days x 8 hours = 184 hours.

 

For periods before 2020

31 calendar days - 8 (4 Saturdays and 4 Sundays) - 1 public holiday (Christmas Day) = 22 working days.
