The Centre for Data Processing, Affiliation and Collection of Joint Contributions for Social Security Institutions (Centre d'informatique, d'affiliation et de perception des cotisations commun aux institutions de sécurité sociale), known as the Social Security Centre (Centre commun de la sécurité sociale - CCSS) was created by the legislator in 1974, and has been an independent public-sector establishment since 1990. The CCSS operates under the supervision of the Minister of Social Security, and is run by a Board of directors.
The social security law code governs the legal status and remit of the CCSS.
www.secu.lu is the website for Luxembourg's social security institutions. It details the social security law code as well as its related legal, regulatory and statutory provisions.
It also lists international social security instruments, as applied by social security institutions under the authority of the Ministry of Social Security and the most recent social security-related laws and regulations published by the Official Journal of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
