Young volunteers must be declared to the Social Security Centre (Centre commun de la sécurité sociale - CCSS) either by the National Youth Service (Service National de la Jeunesse - SNJ) or by another volunteer service organisation approved by the Luxembourg Ministry for Youth.
Young volunteers are automatically affiliated in all branches of the social security system, with the exception of sickness cash benefits. Social security contributions are paid entirely by the State.
