The 'DECAFF' file must be used by all employers (private and public sector) for employee entries and exits. It is also used for changes made to rectify an erroneous entry or exit declaration.
In order to ensure timely affiliation or disaffiliation, the company should transfer the 'DECAFF' file as soon as the employment contract is signed and once the employee's valid social security number has been recorded. This transfer can be made daily.
However, any errors in the social security number or code will result in the record being rejected and returned to the company in the 'AFFRET' file with the reason for rejection.
DECAFF file specifications
- The file is an uncompressed, ASCII-coded text file;
- Fields are separated by a semicolon (;);
- Each record ends with a carriage-return (0D hex) and a line-feed (0A hex).
