Luxembourg residents who are changing their address must go to the communal administration population office. Their address change is then automatically communicated to the Social Security Centre (Centre commun de la sécurité sociale - CCSS).
Non-residents who carry out a professional activity in Luxembourg and who change their private address can make a request to update their data directly via MyGuichet.lu.
Self-employed persons and farmers who are changing their professional address must contact the CCSS via the contact page or by post.

How to proceed
Non-resident private address change
Non-residents who carry out a professional activity in Luxembourg and who are changing their private address, can make a request to update their data held by the National Registry of Natural Persons (Registre national des personnes physiques - RNPP) via MyGuichet.lu. For non-residents, a LuxTrust certificate is not required in order to update a home address.
Self-employed and farmer professional address change
As a general rule, all CCSS correspondence is sent to the private address. However, it is possible to send self-employed account statements and payment certificates to a professional address, if this is different to the private address. Farm worker statements and payment certificates are automatically sent to the business address.
If you wish to change your professional address, go to the contact page or send your request to the CCSS by post, together with the following information about the person in question:
- Luxembourg identification number (13-digit national identification number with the corresponding employer extension (e.g. '60' for self-employed persons);
- surname and first name;
- date from which the address change should take effect;
- new address.
