When a person is no longer contributing to the compulsory pension scheme, they have the option of voluntary pension insurance affiliation with the Social Security Centre (Centre commun de la sécurité sociale - CCSS).
Voluntary pension insurance (continuous, complementary or optional) ends either at the request of the person concerned or in the event of non-payment of contributions.
Another person may undertake to pay the contributions instead of the applicant.
In order to simplify the payment of social security contributions, it is possible to grant a direct debit mandate to the Social Security Centre (Centre commun de la sécurité sociale - CCSS).
Any person (natural or legal) with a credit balance on their contributor's account with the Social Security Centre (Centre commun de la sécurité social - CCSS), may ask for it to be paid into their bank account.
A person who has voluntarily registered for health and/or pension insurance receives an account statement each month with the amount of contributions to pay.
