Procedures
Declaration of entry
Employers hiring employees must submit a declaration of entry to the CCSS within 8 days of hiring.
Declaration of exit
Employers must declare the exit of any working relationship within 8 days of the contract ending.
Request for social security number for an insured person
The CCSS provides the existing identification numbers. It creates these numbers for EU, EEA and Swiss nationals. For other nationalities, a request must be sent to the General Department of immigration.
Certificates
Certificate stating number of employees
This certificate states the total number of employees employed by the employer on the requested date.
