This reminder is sent automatically if a 'DECSAL' wage declaration has been made for the month in question and the declaration of at least one wage is missing from it.
It is the employer's responsibility to check the following scenarios:
- the declaration of a wage for an insured person has been 'forgotten':
In this instance, the employer should place the pointer on the period requested and add the 'DECSAL' record relating to the next 'DECSAL' transfer file.
- the employer does not have any data for the reference period:
In this instance, the employer should contact the Social Security Centre (Centre commun de la sécurité sociale - CCSS) to close the file (e.g. the employee has left their employer and a declaration of exit form is still missing).
The CCSS sends the 'SALMAN' file automatically if at least one wage in the 'DECSAL' wage declaration is missing for the month in question. If a wage declaration for a whole month is forgotten, the employer will be informed by post.
Brief summary of the information in the SALMAN file
For each missing wage, the file contains one record per employee per period containing the following information:
- identification of the employer using its registration number;
- identification of the insured using their social security number;
- the reference period (period for which a wage is missing);
- surname, first name and married name of the insured to enable identification if the employer does not yet know their social security number.
SALMAN file specifications
- The file is an uncompressed, ASCII-coded text file;
- Fields are separated by a semicolon (;);
- Each record ends with a carriage-return (0D hex) and a line-feed (0A hex).
